Extensive tests to date have shown that at the concentrations indicated in this circular, ASUHI ® CXT can be used without hazard for the recommended applications.
ASUHI ® CXT undergoes rapid photodegradation and forms a variety of melamine derivatives which are sparingly biodegradable but have low toxicity.
All meeting (P)EC / PNEC ratios were below 1 and so therefore not conotitate a risk to the environment.
The recommended areas of application for ASUHI ® CXT are summarized below together with incorporation levels based on detergent weight.
Conventional detergent powders 0.05 – 0.40%
Compact detergent powders 0.10 – 0.80%
Industrial detergents 0.20 – 1.60%
As can be seen from the recommended applications, ASUHI ® CXT is suitable for different detergent types which can be used by machine wash as well as by hand washing.
It can be better for result in detergent powders with the mixture of ASUHI ® CXT and ASUHI ® CBS-X in certain ratio.
Improved detergent colour ASUHI ® CXT markedly improves the white appearance of detergents such as conventional and compact powders when incorporated in the slurry prior to spray drying.
Whiteness delivery ASUHI ® CXT gives the best effects on cellulosic fibres at washing temperatures between 40 and 95° C.
Stability ASUHI ® CXT is stable to alkali and peroxide under the conditions usually encountered in household and commercial laundering. Although partially destroyed by sodium hypochlorite in the wash liquor, it is faster to hypochlorite when ASUHI ® CXT has exhausted on the fabric.
Light fastness The dry and wet light faster of ASUHI ® CXT on cellulosic fibres is up to the standard of the bis-(triazinylamino)-stilbene disulphonic acid FWAs on the market today.
Incorporation in Detergents
ASUHI® CXT is equally suitable for incorporation in conventional and compact washing powders as well industrial detergents.
ASUHI® CXT can be easily processed by any method of incorporation such as spray-drying, agglomerating, post blending and spray blending.
ASUHI® CXT can easily be dissolved in unstructured industrial liquid detergents based on nonionic surfactants and solvents.
